    Allen & Page Veteran Vitality

I have two 4 years olds, a 6 year old and a 19 year old on either Veteran Light or Veteran Vitality, depending on whether they need condition or not. They prefer the Vitality, so I feed that if I need to hide any wormers, medicines etc. 😆

    Equitex Saddle Pads

I have several. They are excellent quality and my horses go well in them. My saddler also really rates them, which is a bonus! Very useful when horses are changing shape.

    Monarch saddles

I have two Monarchs and I really like them. They are adjustable, so useful for horses which are changing shape. Definitely for the more flat backed type though!

    Internal stables - Monarch/Loddon/anyone else?

Fitting ourselves as the concreting isn't finished yet. I was happy to pay the extra £1k to have them fitted, but husband and friends are determined to do it themselves . I'll let you know how it goes!

    Internal stables - Monarch/Loddon/anyone else?

We had our Monarch stables delivered today. They're not up yet, but I am seriously impressed with the quality. They were slightly more expensive than Loddon and the same as Stables Online top of the range, but faster delivery times. They were also the only company to actually come out and see...

    Hives?!

I had exactly the same thing with one of mine a few weeks ago. It took 2 rounds of antibiotics and a pretty hefty vets bill to clear it up. Skin scrape showed low grade infection, but no idea what caused it. Probably worth a chat with your vet.

    Fouganza/Decathlon Hats

Same. I think it's definitely for round heads rather than oval ones. Also, I ordered my normal size of 56cm and it was huge.

Has anyone ever come across anything like this?

About 9 years ago, I came down to the yard one morning to find my mare, who had been stabled overnight, barely able to stand and camped out in the laminitic stance. She was lame on all 4 legs and in severe pain. Vet ran bloods (normal), bandaged all four legs as a precaution and socked her...

Lessons and the things instructors say to you....

"Keep him, keep him...*sigh* remember who is supposed to be in charge here" as we power off down the long side in extended trot :)

    Horse with heart murmur!

Have they done an ECG and scanned the heart? Without that, there is no way of saying for sure what's causing the murmur. The vet found that one of my horses had a a grade 5 murmur when checking his heart prior to sedation. The cardiologist found a mild leaky aortic valve, which I believe is...

Best anatomical bridle for under £100?

I have to say that I have one of these and I really don't like it. The headpiece is shaped but even a full size is too narrow for my mare who has a small head, so the curved bits aren't in the right place. The leather is poor quality and the keepers are too small, which drives me crazy...

    Voltaire Saddles

I have one. I love it. Recently had new panels put on the fit a different horse as it became too narrow for my WB x TB. Service is pretty good, but you can wait a while for new saddles and any adjustments as the work is done in France. I think they're currently about £4k new but they do have...
