I was after a Thorn pad ideally but the Snape looks to be a little cheaper, is it nice? I do prefer the Thorn just based on the internet pics I've seen of the Snape...I had a Thorn up until recently and was really pleased with the quality and overall 'look'.
Budget isn't MASSIVE unfortunately, I need to buy everything inc. hat/boots/gloves etc as well as new tack. Pony is currently in a cub saddle which wouldn't go down too well ;)
Ooh, I love it! Pony is very similar to one of mine :) See I'm confused about the tartan thing - I really wanted to incorporate it (my family's tartan is lovely) but didn't know how that would work with tweed? I was thinking I could match daughter's tie and bows to the tweed which is...
Lol, luckily my two are ace and not like your 'typical' *****land!
Went to a local show today and had a nosey at the LR class, it was unreal - natives with jockeys wearing black jackets and leaders wearing everyday clothes, one even had a top with a huge diamante butterfly pattern! It was...
We're all about the natives, my plaiting leaves a lot to be desired ;) Pony in question is a black shetland. I've got a lot of homework and shopping to get done, thanks for everyones advice.
The hat's the best bit! Lol. I like this -

I think that might just bring up the general page, it's a waistcoat combination with matching child's outfit next to it. So lovely. Not in that tweed though...
Yes, that's what I was worried about. I think I'll go for a waistcoat, I could always use that for some in hand stuff with a different shirt if I fancied it. Not really keen on the 'fashion' jackets...this sounds really snobby but I think they tend to look a bit amateur! I'm sure not all of...
Thanks...I expect just local this year but hopefully some qualifiers next year so I may as well buy outfits that will last us, my daughter should get a couple of years out of hers. On Le Beau Cheval's website they have a few waistcoat outfits, would that be acceptable for qualifiers? I think...
Brand new to LR this season and feel a little lost! The majority of the outfits I've seen are the traditional double breasted jacket style but I was wondering if a single breasted ladies tweed jacket would suffice? I need a new jacket myself so hoping to kill two birds with one stone ;) I...
Thanks, I haven't actually seen the field yet so not 100% on the setup. We've got two ponies, one is for sale but if making the move she'd be kept as a companion :) both mares get on well and I think my daughter will ride in a year or two so she'll come in handy!
Both natives which helps but...
Hi all, for numerous reasons I find myself drawn to leaving our current yard and finding myself a nice field to rent. Any advice or pros/cons? Downsides will be lack of school but I can always fence off an area?
There's a 5 acre field that I've found, isn't sectioned off at all - would I...
His official name is Arlon (he's imported) but he's been called Harry for years now. His previous owner bandaged it too tightly after he hurt it in the field and it came off :( I'm hoping it will grow out nicely but if not then it's not the end of the world, I only want him for fun anyway.
