That's something I'd expect to need antibiotics and painkillers. I'd dress it with manuka honey as well - it did wonders for my big mare.

I was thinking of Dawn Run too… Why can’t a formerly great horse simply be retired after a series of horror falls?

Reads to me like they are going to keep working on hurdles and that is likely still the end goal. Let's hope he is not the next Dawn Run.
