Hello,
I’m looking for stable matting for a 12x12. I’ve got two other horses stabled on Equimats. However I’ve just learned they’ve very sadly entered administration, and so I’m looking to purchase from somewhere else. Or if there’s a way to still get them, please do let me know!
Must be 28mm+...
I'm looking for a safe brand/type of paint to use on my stables, it needs to be 100% weatherproof and safe with animals as I've got a pony who licks wood!! Any recommendations gratefully received!
Sorry, I should have said that!! The fence is on, I have tried to educate them of this by letting them hear it ticking when you leave it lying on the ground this works for a day or two but they soon get back to their old tricks, particularly the destroyer!
I have two strands and three on the...
I have two ponies, both need to be kept on restricted grazing as both could be susceptible to laminitis.
Any tips for keeping them within their field? Currently I have a wooden fence however when I use electric fencing to section the field one will jump over it and the other will push it over...
Currently feed the blue Horsehage for a pony with severe allergies but also susceptible to laminitis. Is there any others that offer a lower sugar content? Thanks!
Thank you for the advice, have taken all on board. Thank you, the Lamalert has magnesium in it however I also have pure mag ox, should I feed that as well do you think?
With regards to the Timothy Grass, is that much lower in sugar? Would I be better on that? Also do you know of any ryegrass...
I am looking for some help to get rid of my 14hh New Forest's cresty neck.
He is on a small paddock with restricted grazing, gets 1 small scoop hi Fi lite twice a day, one handful lo cal lite and one scoop Superfix Lamalert morning and evening. He also gets 4lbs of haylage (he is on the low...
Has anyone got any tips for getting a pony to stand still when mounting?
He will stand still if someone stands in front of him giving him treats but I am now trying to progress to not needing this as someone isn't always around!
I've got him to stand until your weight is over his back and...
Personally I would buy privately, although I would look for a horse/pony that has regularly been out competing/pony club/riding club recently and before buying speak to the DC or another impartial professional who knows them well. Another thing I look for when buying privately is the length of...
Just looking for some help and advice! I've got a lovely pony who genuinely is superb in every way, he has just one vice of being a bit bad tempered!
He makes faces and occasionally tries to bite when being brushed, tacked up or having his rug changed. He isn't bad with it and in 10 years of...
Thank you to all who replied!
Upon reading everyone's comments I definitely feel that perhaps he isn't being worked hard enough (comparable to what he was used to). I've since decided that before hacking he should do at least 15-30 mins constant schooling (I hope this may settle him when I try...
Thank you to everyone who has replied. It's very interesting to hear some people find that pigs and horses just don't work and others feel it can be the same reaction provoked with another type of animal. In the interests of (attempting) to desensitise my horse I think on taking everyone's...
