No thank you thank you this is very helpful - you have put my mind at rest completely which is good as the vet is coming this morning He had said that he will be using depo-medrol so fingers crossed.
Oh I see what you mean - sorry O_B I thought you meant the shoeing might be causing it Will definately ask the vet if we should do anything to the shoeing.
Forgot to say - I live in London but horse doesn't. He lives in a much nicer part of the world outside of the M25 and so is out all night so he isnt stuck in a stable or anything like some of the poor urban horses.
Its not the shoeing - he was a steeplechaser for years and so its just a result of years of pounding around a racetrack (amazing really that there is nothing else wrong).
I am surprised though that everyone has had such limited success with the injections though. Three or four of the people on...
He was on Cortaflex but this will be replaced by the vet's stuff (which only comes from the vet) so I would guess it probably is the higher concentrate glucosamine.
Hi. I have an ex steeplechaser (11 yrs old) who I have started eventing. He has always been stiff on his left side and 1/10th lame in his left hind and so now that I am competing I took him to the vets for a full lameness check. The vet identified that he has low grade arthritis in both hocks...
Hello
London isnt as bad as you think I promise I come from darkest Dorset (village that had more cows than people) and I LOVE living in London nowadays. Think mine is a different set up though to what you want - I live in central London but keep my horse near Windsor. I commute out 4...
Shogun? Ooo nice. If it hadn't been for Red Ken and his threat to chuck up the congestion charge to £20 for larger vehicles I would have gone for one of them
Speaking as a chelsea tractor driver though who lives in Chelsea I still think most of the women that drive them deserve everything...
If you are ever round the Windsor area (where my horse is) then more than happy to give you a lift
If you really want to entertain yourself / drive yourself mental you should pop round to the schools behind either Harrods or Peter Jones at dropping off time. Hundreds of hardcore yummy mummys...
Very embarrasingly I live in Chelsea and have a 4x4 BUT I have it because I needed something to tow my horse trailer. I think on my street it is the only 4x4 (of many) that smells (and looks like) a stable on the inside
Like the idea of the stars - or you could do chevrons (although may come back to looking like a bee again ). If you are thinking of using Miranda Theobold then I definitely recommend - my colours turned up recently and I am very pleased with them You can't really tell in the piccie but the...
I have one that I am retraining and I am sure we tick all the boxes on how not to do it:
1) Discovered him when I was at a party at a racing yard and he was the only horse in the stables. At the time I was a bit drunk and on crutches and he was off to the knackers yard as he had torn a tendon...
Bunch of scary lads in a souped up Range Rover who shoot past at 70 mph and then stop and get out the car threatening to thump you when you wave to tell them to slow down. Not nice
And non ASBO related ones - snow, white vans, white dogs, anything white (don't ask!) plus agree with the horse...
