    straight sesamoid ligament injury

Does anyone have any experiences of inflammation of the straight sesamoid ligament? Had diagnosis last month after a lameness work up at the vets. Went in for neck X-rays as hopping in trot and found neck arthritis and this, although they feel the ligament is unrelated. He was injected into...

    Insurance - claiming for physio

I’m hoping for some past claimers experiences 😊 I’ve recently had a successful claim for a sesamoid ligament injury ( e&l) and have spoken to my vet about physio when we progress through rehab - They don’t think it essential but happy to recommend. I’ve got additional cover on my...

Arthritic changes in neck - experiences

I’d be grateful for some experiences or diagnoses and long term management following prognosis of arthritic changes in the neck. 🙏. My horses developed a hop in trot - only when asked to work on the contact and only on the right rein. Sound on long rein and Left rein contact or not, he’s...

Premier equine mud boots or alternative to protect pastern

Hi all, After some reviews or alternatives to the premier equine mud boots. My horse has had a nasty wire injury to the back of his pastern and after a few weeks in it looks like I can start to turn him out for a few hours - hoping this cold mud drying weather holds!! The wound was...

Hello, I'm off to riding camp soon and although my horse is fit enough would you feed more for energy ? Currently has a handful of safe and sound with vits added in. I don't particulary want to start adding in a mix but what do people think or suggest? Would be lessons either end of day...

Hey, Think I recognise the description of yard B - lisvane/Rudry? If so, I used to keep mine very near there. I ended up moving mine due to the traffic in the lanes as at that time it was became bad running the gauntlet with young guys on scramblers on the weekend and commuters/lorries...

I've attended a few clinics with Amanda - thought she was brilliant at matching the music :). Mynydd RC are planning a show this spring and may also be worth dropping Vicky Semple at SWEC a message as she hosts clinics with Amanda at her yard and is looking to run some DTM shows ...

    Liveryman harmony/Masterclip Royale

Hoping for some advice on the above clippers! I'm a one horse owner who will be clipping twice a year - only a chaser/trace so don't need a heavy duty pair. I like the idea of not having to worry about tensioning blades and having something small and light weight. My horse hasn't a...

    being sued :(

Have a look at your contents policy and give the claims team a ring. You should have 'Personal Liability' as standard. I used to work in insurance and it'll cover horses owned by you kept at a different address for third party for instances that occur at grass and pleasure riding. Xx

Who stayed with their horse for PTS by injection?

I've had 2 put to sleep by injection and both times had the luxury of planning the day rarther than it be from an emergency. I found that the vet talked through the process and all eventualities so I was prepared and although both of mine had different reactions to the injection. One lay down...

Anyone dyed a tweed jacket successfully?

Has anyone dyed a tweed jacket and it turned out ok? I stupidly left my brown tweed on the parcel shelf of my car for a few days and the sun has bleached some stripes down the back! 😭. I'm just looking to re do a brown dye and wondered if anyone else has done this or has any tips...

    Just hind shoes?

I had exactly the same problem with mine but he only has front shoes and we think he was pulling them off by standing on himself rather than over reaching. As well as being annoying walking the field trying to find the missing shoe it was also costing a fortune having it put back on all the...

He's really willing, has ability and loves...
