Hello all, I'm looking for a yard for two mares at the moment (one retired), ideally grass livery but DIY with stable also okay. Have visited several today but all either full or not 100% right for various reasons (no parking, flooding). I liked the look of Frieze Farm but it is sadly full...

I was just wondering if there are any riders in Henley on Thames on here? I would love to meet some new people in Henley, particularly riders who are looking for a hacking buddy.
I'm 21 and ride a 14.1hh mare and we enjoy speedy hacks (although we do like a quieter life now and then ;) )
We're having a bit of an issue at the moment with dirtbikes riding up and down a bridlepath which gives us access from the yard to the network of local bridlepaths. There are 5 or 6 that are there every weekend (some of the boys are maybe only 10 years old ish) and then sometimes a couple come...
Had horse's teeth done today, one of them needs removing as it's broken/loose but horse was rearing etc so it couldn't be removed at the time. The dentist recommended Dormosedan paste which can be prescribed by a vet.

Posting on behalf of my sister.
She is hopefully going to be heading Moreton Morrell in September and would like to take her horse. She was planning to keep him in the college livery but I've read in a few places that the turnout is poor/non existent?
Is there anywhere nearby that she could...
I'm currently doing research for my dissertation and would really appreciate it if you could fill out my survey. I'm studying BA Geography and my dissertation is aiming to look at why men are over-represented at higher levels of equestrian competition (for example, why the 2012 Olympic...
Thank you for replies.
Probably being stupid, she won't mind 6 months gorging on grass at all!
I guess I could do short walks during Christmas and Easter so she doesn't become a complete cow.
I'm in my 3rd year of university (so finishing next year) and my horse is at home - I couldn't afford to bring her with me. U
p until recently she was being loaned out to a lady who kept her ticking over but her circumstances have changed and now she doesn't have the time.
It took me a year...
Thank you for your replies. I'll try the British Library and will give them a ring to see if they know of any. I'm not going to look at the whole 10 years worth (I'm not completely mental), just a sample of them all to compare!
For my dissertation I'm looking into the effect of gender on horse-human relationships. Part of my dissertation is going to be looking at how accessible horse riding is to men, one of the ways I am doing this is through looking at equestrian magazines such as Horse and Hound, Horse and the Pony...
