I have one on loan from the BTRC and so does my neice. I cant fault them at all. I'm not aware of them putting horses to sleep unless there are valid behaviour or medical reasons, which quite frankly is fair enough in my book. I'm absolutely positive I have seen horses turned out in winter too...
I towed with a high mileage Q5 & ifor double trailer carrying one 16h horse with no problem at all and never had any issues with the car. My husband is a car trader and had great faith in the car. Only swapped as I needed to carry two big horses and it would have struggled.
I do it all the time. I trailer to hack, clinics, camps & shows. The more you do it the easier it gets till you just don't think about it cos its normal x
Look at horsemanship saddlery. They do one where the headpeice can be used to attach a noseband and cheekpeices and you add a throatlash onto the cheekpeices. If you don't want to use the noseband you can use the straps for a different throstlash so it can be used 2 ways. Really lovely leather...

I got a lovely one from Horsemanship Saddlery, not cheap but beautiful quality and still looks brand new 3 years later. So much so I have just bought another bridle from there for my new one.
I have been in exactly the same position with my mare. Got her as a 2 year old, born on the yard I got her from so knew full history. After loads of investigation she ended up having her tmj medicated as she had bone spurs on the joints. She is soo much better now. I got a horsemanship saddlery...
Thanks for the feedback everybody. I would always be upfront and also pay for any damage. That's one thing with having them at home you appreciate the cost of having to repair things and always try to keep things nice in the 1st place.
Hi, I currently keep my windsucker at home but we are thinking about putting the house up for sale. I'm contemplating returning to livery to get more of a social side but will I struggle finding a yard to accept a windsucker?
