My horse has just come down on the road, luckily he's ok just scuffed / grazed knees and taken the hair off?
Can anyone recommend the best thing to put on to help everything recover?
Welcome any suggestions;
3 week ago we moved house and I moved my 2 horses from a busy yard to the stables at the house.
Initially my mare was obviously a little stressed from moving but nothing too unusual and went off her food for maybe a day.
But just lately her behaviour has got...
So for some reason my 2 horses decided to escape from the field and canter flat out for 2.5 miles to the next village.
I and several passer bys eventually caught them and got them home?
At the moment both horses are sound just a little tired?
What would you do next? I've cold hosed...
Thanks oldvic the mare is sound but just wanting any tips on preventing what happened this year from happening again.
She is 7 but 17hh tb a real pointer stamp not the most hardy !!
She developed the splint beginning of season so was turned away all summer, she has been to the vet and checked over and said eventing her on the hard has made her a little sore in front,
Might try some pads in front and maybe a devils claw like sup?????
Just stick to sensible fattening...
Hi everyone I have a lovely event mare but I have been told to toughen her legs up because she soon goes sore in front and has thrown a splint
What's the best way to do this?
Trotting on roads, all road work?
Any suggestions welcome?
Hi everyone in preparation for next year can anyone give me opinions or feedback on Ann Bedfords stallion Handel
Any one got youngstock off him??
My mares quite tall and long so need something compact with jump???
I had candy as my first choice but after speaking with the stud they didn't think he would be suitable as my mare is quite long through the bak and he isn't that compact ??????????
