    What Clippers are worth buying?

Mole Valley Farmers usually have Lister Star clippers on offer… I’ve had mine for 10 years and never had an issue with them. 😊

Feed for a laminitic 15 2 Conny whose a bit lethargic.

Mine is on Thunderbrooks Organic nuts (2.2% sugar), linseed (cupful per day) and chaff with gut balancer, oily herbs and balancer. Unfortunately she’s allergic to Speedibeet and is wild on alfalfa.🙄 She has EMS and pyloric ulcers.

Weight gain feed but low sugar?

If fussy, try adding a little fenugreek. Mine has EMS and pyloric ulcers - try Thunderbrooks organic meadow nuts (only 2% sugar), with Thunderbrooks chaff, micronised linseed (a mug full per day). Can’t feed SB as she’s allergic to it. But she keeps her weight on fine. Also on ad-lib hay and...

    Teas instead of supplements?

I believe HorseHerbs advise giving as an infusion - they’re far more potent than feeding dry. You could call them for advice? 😊

    What to feed !!!!!!!

None of my recommendations contain soya. Vets are not nutrition specialists so you’ll need to do your own research like I’ve had to do!

    What to feed !!!!!!!

Try and keep the feeding simple. Look for high Omega 3 content as that is anti-inflammatory so suggest micronised linseed (a mugfull per day). Stay away from cooking oils as they don’t have the correct balance of Omega 3, 6 & 9. Try not to feed anything with soya, wheat feed etc. So a basic...

    Show me your blanket/chaser/irish clips!

Yes, but aside from the owner, no-one really notices! Did you have to level it up?! Baling twine use No.342! 🤣

    Show me your blanket/chaser/irish clips!

😂 at least you know for next time. And anyway, you don’t see both sides at the same time so it really doesn’t matter!

    Show me your blanket/chaser/irish clips!

If you use some baling twine it’s easy… 😊 Measure from the mane to the existing clip line and then repeat on the other side making a chalk mark or wet the hair at the right spot. Use as many markers as you need and then just ‘join the dots’ with your clippers.

    Condition without the fizz

…and to add, not all feeds with ‘oil’ are equal - check they have the correct Omega 3, 6 and 9 ratios… Omega 6 and 9 are inflammatory. 😵‍💫

    Condition without the fizz

Micronised linseed (Charnwood) and/or Speedibeet will do the job without fizz. 😊 No nasties in those either and easily digested along with your Agrobs.

    cooked vs micronised linseed

Could you just try supplementing with pure linseed oil instead perhaps?

    Feed question for fussy horse

Have you tried adding a little fenugreek powder? Smells a bit like curry and is used to tempt fussy feeders. Also, feed in a wide bowl as the smell of anything new will be dissipated more than in a small high sided bowl. 😊
