Hi all
I tend to hack out in my Dublin River boots but they just aren't as warm as they used to be, I have wide calf so needs to fit, most are designed for the small leg, but in some 'wide' sizes they are to loose.
Any how, what boots keep you warm on long frosty morning hacks ?
Thanks x
Hi
I am looking to re locate my 2 horses, my competition horse can no longer leave the ground so he is now a hack, the other one is older.
Ideally I want pretty direct access to a common (chobham is the best in the area) both need to be turned out during the day and in at night but don't...
Hey, looking for some experiences, my horse went pretty 'footsore' a few hours after shoeing, checked him out, he was hopping lame on the hard circle, uncomfortable on soft but a fair bit better. Rang the vet and she said based on the fact he's just been shod, get the farrier back out and see...
I do love a kent and masters also, had one for a long time and the saddler kept telling me it fitted, i was never sure so got another saddler out to check it and he said it's just the wrong shape for my broad shouldered, flat backed ISH, hence getting the cob one. Whilst i must agree the saddle...
Hey everyone!!
So i just got a new saddle for my lad, kent and masters cob, its a dream, apart from the girth straps, i know they will get easier with use, but i've never had a new saddle before, so what is best to use to soften them up please?
thankyou!
I've just purchased PE Mud fever boots, although there is little mud at the moment, in the mornings the grass is very wet and they are certainly keeping his legs dry!
Hey everyone!!
Hoping i can have some help with planning a fitness guide for my horse.
It's harder than usual as earlier on in the year he was diagnosed with hock arthritis (He's only 10) It's quite mild and he's responded incredibly well to the steroids, . During the period of investigations...
Thanks people, i wasn't overly worried about his skin really (starting to think otherwise now), the field he's in has a prominent water layer on it when it rains unfortunely, but we should be moving to a new paddock soon. His issues this year have not been related of any sort (osteoarthritis of...
Hi guys,
I was hoping some of you could come to my rescue.... my horse has mud fever, i have never had to deal with it before, even at the old yard with the same horse, the mud was far worse but he never got it but at the current yard he does, he got it early this year but it wasn't bad and...
Does anyone have any recommendations for good farriers in surrey? Horse has very unlevel feet curtsey of current farrier which has resulted in navicular changes.
Need someone who is willing to work with the vets to fix the issue, trust has been broken slightly here so any top farriers you...

My horse has just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hocks, haven't had loads of chats with the vet yet but just wondered what people with this experience have had... what do you still do with your horses?
He had steroids and went from 4/10 lame to 1/10 lame in 1 month and he's just...
