    Prestige D1 dressage saddle

I’ve had my Prestige D1 for two years now and YES, I highly rate it!! I did a HUGE amount of research in to which dressage saddle to buy. I looked and tried loads: Bates, Equipe, Albion, Fairfax, Amerigo, Ideal, Barrie Swain, WOW, Black Country Saddles, Devoucoux. The D1 was the best out...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

I'm happy for quite a lot of decisions to be made when I'm not there but I must admit I did say when I went to look round and when I first moved there that I didn't want his feed to be changed without me knowing as he had ulcers a few years ago. They've also changed his bit a lot (despite his...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

He's been "on the maximum allowed dosage", twice a day for around 3 weeks apparently. He is a little but quirky but doesn't buck, rear, spin or do anything dangerous (I wouldn't ride him if he did as I'm not an amazing rider) but he is a bit spooky. They've only been riding him in the indoor...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

I haven't really got a current vet (the vet I use at the moment is very good friends with the YO who I now don't trust) so I might call my old vet (whose in a different area) for some advice. My worry is how he is going to react, after being on it for a few weeks, especially when moving to a...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

Hi all, thanks for your replies. I have found another yard but can't move until Wednesday unfortunately. I'm wondering what to do with taking him off the bromide. Do I just stop it completely or should he be weaned off it slowly? ps.... I don't mind anyone borrowing my things...

Think I've found somewhere to take them, a more expensive option but worth it I think. Will move at the weekend. Have been shaking with worry/disappointment/shock/anger tonight nos that it's sunk in

I ride them both once a week (due to a difficult time at work at the moment). I'll have a look at the link thank you. I suppose they have just made me feel like I don't know anything and what they do is for the best and is right. Will be stating to yard hunt tonight! I just don't want to...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

I've not that long moved into the area so I just agreed to have their vet. I've been told he's a very very good friend of theirs. I'm not sure I'd want to speak to him until I have secured somewhere else for the horses to go to. I presume the YO will have told the vet it was for one of their...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

I was just so shocked. I wish I'd have said something now but I was just lost for words. I will need to arrange for transport so I can't just up and move them today. I only get to see them about once a week at the moment (because of work) so I want to make sure the next yard is OK too before...

They do change other things (like feed etc.) without telling owners but to be honest they seemed so knowledgeable and experienced that I felt like they knew better. The owner is happy to let you borrow anything of his which is nice but it's not great in the way that your stuff is also lent to...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

I might not have even found out. He seemed very sleepy this afternoon and his eyes looked a bit glazed over. I joked and said it must be all the sunbathing in the nice weather! They so casually said: "it's most likely the bromide". It was only when I (obviously) asked what they meant that...

Would you be mad? & experiences please

Sorry, I hadn't seen the other replies when I posted. They said the vet had suggested it and it works wonders. I was shocked so didn't say anything at the time. I feel very unsettled about everything now. My other horse is moving yards in a few weeks time (to go onto competition livery)...

I have today found out that one of my horses is being given Potassium Bromide without my say so. It's apparently fine as there "are about another 6 horses on the yard on it". He is on full livery so they do decide a lot of things (which rug to put on, amount of hours a day turned out etc.)...
