Absolutely! I’m very disappointed that a specialist equestrian provider couldn’t provide such basics as a reliable clock for much of the day. I ended up keeping one eye on the live results on the website and one on the TV screen. Still, great commentary and good to see the interviews with Laura...
The lack of a reliable clock early on is also frustrating. Fortunately, the website has a fantastic graphic showing the live progress round the course and finishing times.
Definitely planning to be glued to iPlayer tomorrow, start list and course plan in hand! Out on Sunday (bad planning, I know) but will watch the jumping phase when I get back. I’m delighted it’s on iPlayer, but wonder whether this is just because it’s being staged on home soil? I would be...
I don’t know about this year but they certainly ran at five minute intervals last year. I suppose it will depend on just how many start on the Saturday.
We, too, are regular attendees (only missed one since 1994) and were initially disappointed at the big drop in entries last year. However, increasing the interval between starters to five minutes on cross-country day went some way to making up for the lower number of starters as it made it...
I've been using Official Results > Time Schedule and just scrolling down for the start lists and results but I'm not sure how often these are updated. I was following the endurance yesterday using the GPS tracker so I didn't notice how often the Dressage GP results were being posted. Sorry if...
Ive been following the endurance on FEI TV today and there were a few technical difficulties early on there, too. Fortunately, it all seemed to sort itself out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the race itself has just had to be abandoned!
Ive used FEI TV before and do think its very good value...
Just noticed that the BBC Red Button coverage of the cross country appears to end at 2.30pm, yet the cross country goes on to 3.30pm. I'll probably set it to record to beyond 3.30pm in case this information is wrong, but it may be that we'll need to switch to watching online (or on a smart TV)...
Superb scores from Gemma Tattersall and Nicola Wilson. Sadly, Gemma's score won't count for the team but this leaves us on a final dressage score of 111.9. Germany is guaranteed to have the lead and can't score worse than 91.2, but even if (as expected) Julia Krajewski's score is the discard...
