The Brooke animal hospital causes suffering to animals

"just ask any of the caleche drivers" What shall we call YOUR charity? FOECD (Friend Of Egyptian Caleche Drivers)? Why are you swanning around in a caleche in all that heat and obvious danger to horses (that are hit by vehicles etc.)? I really CANNOT imagine that you would be allowed near the...

    Cleaning sheath

Have you ever seen or experienced this in equines in the UK? I have never heard of it here, ever...perhaps in hotter climes?

    Cleaning sheath

Totally agree cptrayes...I know some things have improved hugely for horses than in 'my day' e.g. thinking 'bad' behaviour might be pain related rather than instantly to do with 'naughtiness' etc...but this sheath cleaning obsession! It's a modern myth. Possibly, maybe unless there is a real...

    How do horses neigh

I don't know the physiological answer...but from observation they always have their nostrils flared when they neigh so presume the air enters that way and then something to do with the larynx?? Probably if you look up hobday operation or tie back you will find your answer in reverse as it were!

    Feeling a little disheartened ... :(

Honey, does he "allow" you to have friends? Could they help, maybe take the children for a bit whilst you spend a bit of time with the horse? I suspect the answer is no, he isolates you? Please get away from this bully now, don't hang on 'for the children' they won't thank you for sticking with...

    Apologies if posted before...Dressage Joy

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/video/2011/sep/07/olympics-2012-carl-hester-dressage-video This is GREAT...more of this kind of thing needs to be more easily available to the 'layperson' to ensure that there really is an equestrian olympic legacy...Carl is so erudite, what a representative...

Sore girth area-muscles rather than skin! *a tad long, sorry!*

Please get a good vet to look at her. Ask around for a recommendation (I know you say you have had bad experiences before). Don't be tempted to ride her again until you get a good vet's opinion. Speaking as just had a bad experience of potentially very dangerous 'advice' from a number of...

    Banned for a year.

I had to read it twice, just pitiful, a bloody disgrace but it happens again and again. I wonder what would happen if she (hypothetically speaking) flouted the sentence - not much I suspect (i seem to remember the woman, a few years ago, who let her horses starve in a field when there was hay...

Please have a look at my Website!

Great start! Nice and simple; great images, very important and always a good foundation for a website. Ditto the spellcheck The font for the 'body' text is very difficult to read, in particular the blue on the black and where it is bold on the 'about me' page. Maybe use a very dark grey...

    Was I being conned?

I don't buy the 'old soldier act' that people like to think horses are capable of performing. For every behaviour that appears to show that, there will be a rational explanation, mostly informed by the human need for projection. Horses don't have 'malice of fore-thought'. So I think either: yes...
