Becky O'Neill has a good reputation and gets a wide range of allrounders in. Or Nicky Sutcliffe at Sports Horse Select has some lovely horses but more competition types in general.
Another who thinks Prince is a very lucky lad.
You're doing great with him, and progress on basic manners and handling is so important. Most of us on here aren't competition stars, the only thing you need to achieve is a happy, healthy horse with whom you can have fun whatever level that is at.
Wow, I have missed a few updates along the way but I always wondered what happened with you and Prince.
This is fantastic, I'm so happy for you both. He was so lucky to find someone who would give him a chance and work through his issues.
Hope you have a fun, happy future together.
Oh no, Lev I'm gutted for you and poor Ace. As others have said at least he knew the good life and kindness for the short time you had him.
We lost our big lad the same way and it's devastating. Huge hugs and sympathy.
Agree with everyone else, as long as it works for you and the horse getting off is fine. I've done it on several occasions to avert a possibly bigger problem and never had an adverse affect on my horse next time I've ridden.
I had a Highlander with shoulder gussets which was true, almost generous on the sizing.
However, I have a couple of the cheaper Tempest rugs with no shoulder gusset and I do need to go up a size on those.
What a brilliant story. He is so lucky to have found you, I can't imagine many people would have the will or the ability to deal with a dog with his start in life and issues. He's landed well and truly on his feet.
Now I've been getting slightly concerned over the terrier takeover...even your profile pic...I do have to admit Colin is particularly cute though.
But faith has been restored as I just spotted a whole host of familiar long noses on Friday Face.
No helpful advice really, but I feel your pain. Mine was exactly the same, just couldn't hold it together cantering in straight line in an open space but perfect in the school or schooling in fields.
He did open his mouth and cross his jaw so a grackle helped a bit, but never stopped him trying...
So sorry for your loss, it's awful when they have to leave us and they leave a massive hole in our hearts. Sounds like she had the very best life and as good an end as any could hope for, not suffering and surrounded by a loving family. RIP Bess x
