hay in my wood pellet bed!

Thanks for the replies. Might try the leaf rake as I wouldn't be able to pick it out by hand as it would take me all day as the whole bed has been mixed with bits of hay!....It like so messy with all the hay stuck in it :(

hay in my wood pellet bed!

Any tips on getting it out easily and quickly. Pony seems to mix so much of it into his whole bed. Shavings fork is very time consuming. Thanks.

Daughter's Pony Shooting off in the school

Thanks everyone. I agree he definitely doesn't like working in the school so will try to keep him out as much as possible but on the other hand I think DD needs to make sure she doesn't let him get away with it as he seems pretty smart! Also will get saddle checked and back just in case.

Daughter's Pony Shooting off in the school

He had the saddle fitted when we got him. He did not come with tack. I will bear this in mind but then why then does he not do it when out for an hour or two's hack and when he goes out somewhere else (i.e. lesson, or PC rally) when his mind is occupied? We have tried not just purely schooling...

Daughter's Pony Shooting off in the school

I have advised daughter to ride him with more leg as he is a very sensitive pony anyway. She has been riding him more forward and trying not to hand on to his front end which is difficult when you are anticipating that he may run off. It would not bother her if she knew she could definitely stop...

Daughter's Pony Shooting off in the school

Thanks Jemima we have never used a market harborough. I have stood in the school that doesn't make any difference I think that is just a coincidence that it has not happened whilst she is watching as he has only started doing this in the last week or so and only had two lessons with her since he...

Daughter's Pony Shooting off in the school

No particular direction. He is usually on his own in the school. He has done it on both reins! Daughter is quite lightweight for a 13 yr old she only weighs 6.5 stone - maybe he is testing her.

Daughter's Pony Shooting off in the school

Daughter who is 13 got new pony five weeks ago. He is 5 yr old reg connie imported from Ireland last year. He is a sharp type which she wanted as she wants to ultimately showjump him - daughter is relatively experienced and has had her own ponies from age 7 (some of which have not been the...

    Pony showjumping people

mmm...yes this is my concern. She has not BS experience. Also I have just realised that Pony Club don't allow ponies to compete until they are 5 so she couldn't even start off at PC competitions :(

    Pony showjumping people

Some advice required for you knowledgeable people. Looking for a new 138cm pony for DD who is a small 11 year old (12 this year). We want to progress to BS at some point. She has had current pony for 4 years, done PC and unaffiliated/trailblazers etc up to approx 80cm. Current pony been off...

    Viral Hepatitis

Not sure if it is the same but daughter's pony has hepatitis (inflammation of the liver) and after biospy and bloods vets determined it is probably caused by a virus as WBC count low. Biopsy showed signs of regeneration and no long term damage but her bloods were getting worse. She is now on...
