Personally, I would feed from the floor instead of forking out for a hay bar but always a hay bar over a rack for me as it is better for the horses muscles/top line & more natural.
I'm no expert, but it doesn't look 'right' to me. I've no idea why/how which arguably isn't any help at all! If pushed to explain why, it looks to my über uneducated eye, like it's sitting 'too high' and that the rider wouldn't be sat in the middle, but towards the cantle possibly putting too...
I've had a reading from a friend-of-friend for my horse, which was FOC. It was good to some extent, but I'm keen to try a well regarded professional to see what is thrown up.
My boy gets a token feed with vitamins & minerals all year around - he's in light work (a mixture of hacking, groundwork & schooling) & is partly stabled all year around.
