The forage project that we have been running across the UK is going to come to a close in the next couple of weeks! So we will be selecting participants to have their 2013 forage analysed for free very soon.
We still need to reach ALL parts of the UK so that forage can be analysed from every...

Maybe there was an error if you have only answered a few questions. It...
Thanks for all the participants so far. The project will be running for another month or so and then we will be collating all of the findings. If you haven't already taken part then please do so.
We are hoping to analyse another round of forage from all over the UK, which you can be part of...
Yes, we are thinking of potentially focussing on producers following this. The idea of focusing on horse owners first was to gauge what horse owners are doing, considering forage is such an important part of a horses diet.
The samples have shown very interesting nutritional analysis in some cases.
I think the difference in the North West will be significant. We had very average hay, quite stalky, from 2012 cut. The research has been gathering a good insight as to how and where horse owners source their forage.

How have people found the hay/haylage quality compared to last year (2012 crop compared to 2013 crop)? We are going to test some of the forage of those who complete the survey, but just wondered what people's initial thoughts were?
