Yep, cold & windy conditions have caused my two to be ridiculous this weekend. You didn’t escalate the situation so don’t think badly of yourself, see how the next ride goes may well be back to usual
Have done a few equi Pilates sessions that mobilised pelvis, spine & hips & now feel I am more with than on my horses. Was surprising how braced I was. My pony did very dramatic spook at an unexpected log but I was able to go with it.
As others. A dab of fairy liquid in hot water seems to get gunk off. I do Infrequently to get grease & dirt off then use tack conditioner as the fairy is pretty stripping. I clean with Albion saddle soap in the meantime
Just started equipilates which is eye opening how stuck I am moving my pelvis & spine. I do short sequence of movements on a Swiss ball every day & feel I am more with her rather than on her. Want to try Franklin method next

Equimats, though they are about double the cost of ark mats so depends how much you want to avoid having to periodically trim! I have the latter which have spread too much tbh
I had amazing off road hacking on sand in Surrey & round here is clay. Winter is too wet & muddy, summer is baked like concrete. Doesn’t help that farmers have taken to ploughing to edge of fields but at least we are allowed to go on them. Am fortunate that have transport & there are places...
Depends on whether long term share & if horse has issues. Share to me means opportunity to have horse for much less than outright ownership. As long as you have same goals as the owner why wouldn’t you pay towards its keep if you have them part of the time? If I wanted someone to come and...
Richard maxwell has done a video - available on fb page. Not seen it as both mine load ok. Well one doesn’t much like coming home but is persuaded with a bucket. Good luck
I paid £4K last year for 8 year old 14.1 black welsh d mare who’d done pony club 90cm jumping, horse ball, xc. Hacks really sensibly, goes out on own but bit of a wimp. Had to improve manners on the ground but nice natured
