    Clone your dog !!!!!

It was really only a matter of time, horses have already been cloned (albeit it for breeding purposes i.e. geldings being cloned and kept entire), there's still a lot of debate around it and debate regarding the clones or offsprings being allowed to compete, it's not something I would consider...

    *head, desk*

Instead of 'Dangerous Dogs' programmes that really just show up the dog wardens that they have on, they should be doing a programme to educate Jo Public what questions should be getting asked when getting a puppy, just because the parents are pedigree and KC registered doesn't mean they should...

    foster dog

I met a pack of 6 huskies when I was out on my run on Saturday (they had 5 on the Friday), they only owned 1 of them, the other 5 were all foster dogs (with the newest edition looking a bit scruffy because he was blowing), think the sled dogs have more in rescue that Staffies do. I think they...

Adult riding lessons - is 24 too old?

The main thing to remember is that the only hard part of riding a horse is the ground!!! Speak to the riding school, maybe even see about some lunge lessons so you can look at you're own riding from day one instead of worrying about the horse?? Have fun and enjoy.

    litter grr and help please

And of course the extra tax that will have to be paid to the tax man for the 'extra income' she's generating. Joe Public also needs to be educated about buying puppies, if there was no market for these types (i.e. no KC registration, no 5 generation health tests, lines that haven't done well in...

How long is it acceptable to wait for a vet?

Having been with a vet whilst they had their hand in a place where the sun don't shine on my horse I wouldn't expect an 'immediate' call back, they can't exactly answer the phone and speak whilst concentrating on other things (least of which is not having their arm broken if the horse decides...

There's a child on the yard. Rules?

No unsupervised children, that got put into our yard when one of the parents used to drop of the 10 year old in the car park and just drive away, didn't bother checking to see if anyone was on the yard, I had to call her mother and was late for an appointment when there was no one else on the...

Recommend me a small dog please!

You might also find that you experience problems getting a rescue dog because you live in a flat, also agree with you that if you don't have the time to dedicate to a rescue dog (knowledge can be easily obtained from local dog training classes but the amount of time and effort sometimes required...

    Dogs of public footpaths

Never actually thought of this, allowing your dog to crap on a public path is bad enough, the dog doesn't know any better, but humans do know better. I appreciate that sometimes we can be unwell and not close to a toilet, we might not have a dog with us and have a poo bag handy if it does happen...

    Canicross

Can anyone give a brief description of what is actually involved other than running with your dog, I run with mine on the forest trails, but he's either off lead (and shows off going up the hills) or when he's on lead he runs at my side. He's capable of the mileage (12mile long run yesterday...

So was it the dogs or not......

Exactly, they are trying in Scotland to make several breeds wear muzzles in public etc, my view is that is they clamp down on breeding, particulary puppie farms that do not care what they are breeding and ensure that neutering (to stop all these 'accidents' that seem to happen multiple times a...

    What have your dogs done...

He lives at a restuarant that has a shop attached, he was left on his own in the cottage (that has a through door to the shop), door was left slighty ajar so he could hear people going about, but no he wasn't going to be left on his own, so he jumped out an open window, over a 5ft wall and came...

Does your father live on his own, what about a pet sitter (sometimes cheaper than a home boarder, but not always)??

So was it the dogs or not......

When I initially seen the story on the BBC that had only said that a 6 day old baby had been killed by a Mal I actually thought that it would come out that the Mal accidentally suffocated the baby (attacking the baby never entered my head, the Mal lying too close/on to the baby did), then it...
