I have to renew mine every 3 years but luckily I get it done for free or it would cost me a bomb. Mines due to health reasons so I'm on a 3 year restricted license. Just told my OH about this and his is valid 2007 - 2011 which isn't even 10 years its only 4. Thanks for letting us now about this...
