She is so beautiful. We have a cavalier and would love to have given her a home but our Edith is happier sharing us with our boy lab than other girls. They are such loyal cuddle dogs. Congratulations.

I used to wash our old boys sheath area daily with dilute Dettol. It built up quite a strong antiseptic smell and seemed to prevent him being attractive to maggot flies. Used it on the sheep too after the odd patch of strike.

Saving Cavaliers UK on fb may be a way to go. They are great at rehoming or placing in foster. We have a cavalier bitch but sadly she prefers boys too.

Diatomous earth is your friend. I use newspaper in the nest boxes and and a good hand full on top. Lots of it on the perches and coop floor. Not had red mite or lice on the girls in 3 years on this routine. I buy it off ebay. Before that I was forever creosoting the pens inside and out.

That is worth keeping a note of. We lost our cavaliar two weeks ago. He was only 6 and had been insured from a pup with Bought by many/ Many pets. Their claim handling has been abysmal. His final Vets bill was £55 and will not be settled for between 6 and 8 weeks.

So sorry, we lost an elderly westie in the summer with bone cancer. She was only with us for a few months but was a much loved member of our family.

We have our cavalier insured with Many Pets. Not at al impressed with their claim handling. We have three claims being processed for repeat heart meds. Its been nine weeks and not a single one settled. We have been with Tesco in the past, they were great.
