Oh wow- he is divine!
Thanks for your reply & sharing your experience with the different cuts. How long did the rubbing take to become noticeable on your boy?
My girl is not as chunky as your gorgeous boy, I don't think- but it is hard to judge off pictures sometimes.
Just going off your photos...
Yep- it is not a great time to live at the bottom of the world on a small island if you want items internationally shipped to you lol.
That is a good suggestion & could be an option, although she always used to fit 6'3 WB, so I'm sure 6'3 will fit her now unless the cut is changed a lot & they...
That is an interesting idea & not something I had considered doing at all, so thank you for sharing.
I actually sold all my heavier rugs off last year, as didn't see the point in keeping them any more now we aren't in an area that gets snow & won't be moving out of the area for the foreseeable...
Thank you.
If WB is likely to be the better fit & is also lighter when wet, they sound the better option for her, even if they only last 3yrs.
On a different note, would anything on the list suit a LW cob type?
I have a 6yr old , 14.1hh-ish 3/4 Gypsy cob, 1/4 Arabian that is starting to chuck...
Thank you for the reply.
That is super helpful & useful information.
It is looking like WB might be the best option for her.
Hope both my ponies are as easy! Although I my LW cob is starting to chunk out now, so that is going to be a whole new unknown in terms of what brand & cut of rug to buy...
Thanks for the reply.
Weatherbeeta? Yes, they do have a warranty now, which is great & gives me enough hope that they have fixed the waterproofing problems & it is part of the reason I am considering trying them again :)
The problem is I have to buy online as none of the local stores stock WB...
Thank you for the reply.
That is really interesting info & helpful as well.
We can't get winter/waterproof Rambo rugs here sadly- to import I'd be looking at around 1K or potentially more for a single rug what with the exchange rate, shipping & import fees & I just can't justify that on a rug-...
Thank you for the response.
Oh no, that doesn't sound promising!
Does that include the newer PE rugs (ie. 2020 onwards)? I've read about the older rugs being heavy, but most the ones I found were posts from the early to mid 2000s if I'm remembering correctly.
100% will rule them out if the new...
She looks lovey! Love golden oldies.
Thank you for the reply & recommendation. The green-tec rug looks to fit her really well.
Going off of your photo, I think my girl is a lot broader & deeper though her body than your beautiful girl is, so I can probably rule it off my list judging by how...
Thanks for the response.
I'm not familiar with PE (they have only been in my country for a couple of years now)- but I've read they tend to run large, is that true of 2022 range?
Interesting about the drop on the WB Dynamic rug- do you think it is enough for deeper bodied hunter/solid riding...
After suggestions & opinions for 0g turnouts- brands & ideally specific cuts of rugs that are actually waterproof, which also could have a layer added underneath when required (doesn't get cold enough to need more than 50g to 100g even when clipped out- so 50g are an option as well if they tend...
Does anyone used any of the thinline pads under any of their HM saddles?
How did it go?
I got a second hand vogue, but it didn't come with the wedge panels (only the flat panels).
I know Heather recommends using her memory foam back saver pad, but I'm really not sold on the impact absorption or...
