    Masta fieldMasta Turnout Rug Review

Hi Scarlet, after a couple of months there is mane loss. However instead of taking out the entire lower half of it, it's concentrated on an inch wide (the hinge- the area where a neckstrap lies too) where everything is gone. There is limited thinning on a couple of inches on either side of that...

    Masta fieldMasta Turnout Rug Review

I've received my FieldMasta rug and figured I would post a review as there are none around yet. Here is my initial review of it : it's light, very warm and cosy looking, the outer looks solid and quality. It most definitely looks to be properly waterproof. The texture reminds of high end...

How to gate price of cardento foal please!!

So your "business" consists in putting breeders out of theirs? you're expecting the breeder to lose money on his carefully bred foal so that you are not put in a position to maybe make less than 10k profit on it in a few years? (or maybe you already have a buyer lined up, with an immediate gain...

RANT - probably unreasonable? Bloomin people

This...............thing.........being provided by the Science museum, no less, I propose we shower them with complaints :D Not sure what they're trying to achieve, there. That has to be the pointless, environmentally unfriendly and mor eimportant, ugliest thing I ever saw

Horse failed vetting - footsore. Opinions

The horse was failed on the small chance that it is a bigger problem. Shoes (front and back) on a footsore horse should cure it of its potteriness (that a word?) completely in about 2 to 3 days. Worth a go I'd say. If it's still lame after 48 hours you may forget it though, something else's...

Losing will to live with saddle fit! Flat tress, straightness and back lift!

correct me if I'm wrong but this horse doesn't look wide to me and his withers is fairly visible. The OP even said he had muscle wastage behind the withers which would make him even narrower.

Losing will to live with saddle fit! Flat tress, straightness and back lift!

That's amazing, they are the top irish saddle makers. Goes to show....Their saddles would be made to fit irish draughts and irish sport horses, and your lad looks exactly the type. They do the old fashioned brown leather types saddles with deep seats, deadly comfortable for a medium rider, and...

best pad to stop saddle slipping on no-wither barrel??

Yes. It is long enough for a Zilco training saddle to fit on top of it, when most SJ pads are too short for it. It's thin and jellyish so that it sits flat on the horse's back whatever the shape of it and can be put more or less forward depending on the horse and the saddle. I train racehorses...

Pony lame in fetlock, after advice please

Yeah, sadly I've always a bruise or ten :D That's great though, it looks like finally the injury is healing. Is there any leftover swelling or unsightly bump? If at all possible he should be ready to do road work and then see how he is after that

    what height please???????

Her arse is up and her withers not even remotely out yet....She'll probably make 15 or 15'1 even, since horses grow up to 6 or 7

    Wormers

I think garlic is the only natural decent wormicide...but worms nowadays are so tough that you probably would need industrial quantities. Worth looking into if you're not going to use a proper wormer though :)

New horse - name ideas please!

All Amylinx are pretty :) you could keep to the french theme you were on to with mon Ami (meaning my friend)...such as Lynx mon Amour (Lynx my love), or of course Lynx mon ami. If he turns out to be good that's a memorable fancy name enough :D I used to ride a small little flat racehorse back...
