Tragic, but she would have known the cost of the vet bills - if she couldn't afford to pay maybe it would have been better to put the foal to sleep quicker?

I must say i agree with Spring Feather. If my horse was bleeding with no obvious cause I would be asking for a second opinion.

Depends on the situation i.e. is it safe to stop or would it endanger horse, rider and pedestrian? I try and be as abiding as possible with other road users. I detest the view that horse riders are snobs and ignorant so try and combat this by being amenable if appropriate.

If i recall correctly, underpads are generally for use with elasticated bandages rather then fleece as there is a higher risk of uneven pressure.

Agree with Spring Feather or Varicous Veins. But i would be getting a vet out to check as horses do not shed their menstrual lining like women do.

I use eskadron climate wraps and fleece exercise bandages.

Agree with Ibblebibble. I might just withdraw some money from the ATM and bed the horse on that!

Have you broken a horse before? Might be worth while asking a trainer or BHS instructor to help as it is such a delicate process. Best of luck.

Appalling attitude. With each time you rode the horse it got lamer. Ergo a vet is required and last i heard horses cannot speak for themselves...
