I love my saddle company saddle and have recommended them to others - my fitter is excellent too and has been with them for 20 years so very experienced
I've got an equitrek star treka and tow with a VW Touareg - get 29 mpg when towing and up to 40mpg + when not. Love it and as Ive now done 87k miles in mine just changing for a newer very low mileage one. Wouldn't tow with anything else
My trailer insurance is just up for renewal £400 and I do rescue with equine rescue at £52. NFU wouldn't insure my trailer unless I had horse insured with them but they were a lot more expensive.
I've currently got an equitrek Starr treka and love it. Previously have had 2 IW's and whilst they towed fine I needed living, hence the change. Try Wilcox of Edgemere who are outside Whitchurch on the Chester road, they stock IW's and equitreks - I had my equitrek from them and they took my IW...
Try equine science - calming cookies, these are used on racehorses - we swear by them and easy to administer. No magnesium, use when required, 45-60 mins before and last 3-4 hours.

I have an equitrek star treka. Bought it from new 2.5 year ago and absolutely love it. Tows beautifully, great for weekends competing, horses travel well. The only thing I would Change it for is a lorry, but think this is the most economical for me, especially as we do very little weekends away...
Shropshire
£100 pcm. I have 2 horses and get the following
24/7 grazing
2 stables
Tack room
Trailer parking
Excellent off road hacking and use of another field for daughter to practice mounted games.
Would like a ménage but not enough to make me move and have to pay more.
I pooh...
I used to tow with a Nissan Pathfinder. I towed an ifor 505 and usually took a 14.2 cob and a 13.1 Arab x. Towed like a dream, loved the car. Changed for a vw touareg as I needed something to tow new trailer at 3.5t. Would happily have another if downsized trailer. New car is automatic and I...
I've had both an ifor and an equitrek. Currently got an equitrek star treka as we spend weekends away with the horses. I love it and horses seem to travel better backwards. I love all the extra storage and can keep certain things always in the trailer. Wouldn't go back to an ifor unless I was...
I tow an equitrek star treka with a touareg. I love it. I also use it for work and it is a great cruising machine. I wouldn't swap it for anything. You honestly don't even know you are towing.
Try alto bedding. Dust extracted oil seed rape, and you can also get it with added eucalyptus to aid breathing. I've just started using it, having been recommended it by a friend. I am using on top of rubber mats and really absorbent.
As suggested put the two in together today. Friend went down earlier and sent me a message to say the two were in together. Told her that's fine I'd done it to stop charlie running round like an idiot, had it worked? She said no, they were both now running round like idiots! Horses!
Lol.
He can see her and touch her over an electric fence. If they are together she eats any hay twice as quick as him. He does have lots more hard feed than her too. I really don't want to bring him in especially as he would be on his own. Think I might try turning field back the other way and...
He's on his own as he needs more food than my mare and if they are together she will get fat and he will lose weight. He can see all the other horses and they all live out 24/7. He can see them all from where he is, but he is the only gelding now. The other three are mares. Could that be the issue?
