Easy week for Rooni after a few days off post winter champs. Had a lovely hack Saturday morning and then Sunday we went to a Lewis carrier clinic, it was really local to me so I thought why not :)
He was a bit spooky behind me to start but really relaxed and did some great work. There’s no way...
Pet plan champs for Rooni on weds and Thurs. PSG was tense (no first halt, I messed up a walk half piri and then biffed the last 4). 64% and 5th out of 18. Sideways rain and wind just as we started didn’t help but such is life! Inter 1 loads better just a bit brittle in places like the rein back...

I’ve always done ad lib haylage. I feed whilst I muck out / sort hays / get my equipment out. By the time I get on to ride once I’ve groomed and put my boots on etc it’s an hour since he ate.
Although I give his AM and PM feed in one go he only really picks out the fibre nuggets and a tiny bit...
Horses don’t have the best timing. I lost Fig to colic whilst I was several hours away by plane in a different time zone. It was traumatising to say the least.
Luckily Rooni is a very easy to do boy and his grumpiness in the stable means we don’t have a super affectionate partnership so I’m...
