    Hunters tack

Agree with this, at local shows you can get away with looking neat and tidy but at county shows if you don't have the right kit you will stick out like a sore thumb. Borrow a brown showing saddle and look for discrete padding/ numnahs that really fit the saddle. Showing saddles are much smaller...

    ARC Equine Unit

I've recently bought one and tried it on a couple of horses and myself. It either doesn't make much difference or is broken. Arc equine were really unhelpful but it's gone back for testing. Will see what happens...!

    Breathable brushing boots

The Lemieux sports medicine ones are good no sweating in the summer. I've just replaced them with premier equine. Premier equine, they come up big so buy a size down but again, not had sweaty legs with 12hours turnout!

Back Pain whilst doing fast work / 2 Point

Fast work hurts me for the first couple of goes as I work full time in an office. When I'm a few weeks in its ok. If not my first port of call is the chiropractors. A few weeks back I got really bad again and it didn't go away, I didn't have time to go to the chiropractor and sitting in a...

Trotting on a cross country course 80cm

Agree with Horsemad12, if the horse is too green and unbalanced to canter the majority of the course then some more training and an easier event might be a better option. There's nothing wrong with the odd trot, and particularly at a drop or step etc but when there's no jumps about then the...

Utopia to be sold at Auction with no reserve..

Totilas has some decent youngsters coming through the grades and some colts approved. He's oldest offspring would not yet be ready for GP so a bit early to tell. Utopia does have some reasonable stuff considering the quality of mares in the UK. But £165K probably does not cover the legal fees...

Olympics - who would you chose after Badminton?

The reality is that unless the Germans fall off, GB cannot beat them in their current form!!! Nothing we have in the uk will rival the combined power of German team in the dressage phase and even the odd good dressage score will not help! So if you send a team of dressage divas that's less...

    2* Table collapsing

I hope some thorough testing has been done rather than just one person giving it a shove, which is nothing like a horse hiring the fence. I hope both logic and science have been applied and decent testing carried out. The test shouldn't be a horse or rider dying. Good to see people trying out...

Training question..... quirky TB....help/thoughts needed please

Whoops, Iphone troubles. Sounds like a nice little horse and you really don't need to be at your wits end with him. Just a few tweaks to feeding and training and he will be a lot of fun! In all honesty I think you havent given him the best chance by feeding him up an not working him in the...

    MRI scans

Thanks Snorkey, did they find what was wrong with your horse?

    MRI scans

Yes mine is only 7. It's so frustrating! I'm tempted to play around with the shoeing again.

    MRI scans

Thanks. Have actually done the barefoot route before the vet. The X-rays show sidebone due to foot inbalance but all very minor so think there must be something else going on!

    MRI scans

Thanks Star, that's the current diagnosis but remedial farriery hasn't resolved it so wondered if something else is going on. I did ask the vet about the shoeing but he said he was happy with it.

    MRI scans

I'm currently debating whether or not to have an MRI done on both front feet. Please could people let me know if they had a diagnosis and if they don't mind telling me how much they paid? My insurance only covers 50%. I'm just worried that I'll send the horse for an MRI and it does not come back...
