    Boggle- USA bound!

Just a thought ref protecting Boggle's insides from the Bute, can you get psyllium husk over there, perhaps from a health food shop? My vet recommended it to be fed to my old horse to protect his stomach from Bute/Danilon. With water in the feed the psyllium husk becomes a thick gel, and it...

    Horsebox living

I think most lorry garages would be able to help you locate it - or an auto electrician. Also, if you've got any on-board gas appliances, it would be worth having the gas system checked over for safety, just in case it's not been done for a while.

    Horsebox living

Under the drivers or passenger seat in the cab? In a cupboard or unit down near floor level? Alternatively contact the horse box manufacturer / converter, as they'd (hopefully) be able to point you in the right direction.

Excel I Horse Show / Olympia

I had a great time volunteering last year for the full show, so by the end I think even as an "Olympia addict" I'd seen plenty! 😊 Of all the sessions, my favourite had to have been the World Cup show jumping, so exciting. The driving was also incredible. 🐎

    Badminton 2024 thread

Yes, I do agree with this. Years (and years) ago, I was helping a friend who was looking after one of three horse and rider combinations competing at Badminton. It was long format, and just the logistics of getting all the kit to/from the steeplechase (which was in the field across the road...

    Boggle- USA bound!

I so agree with this! How many of us have grown tired of searching the length of the country for a new horse, with endless failed vettings, only to be offered a spare horse to ride while you're looking, and for it to turn out to be THE ONE, only in disguise - and it was hiding in plain sight...

    Eventing 2024 Season Thread

That's such a lovely video, both of you looked as though you were really enjoying your round, and made it look really easy! I'm watching the full day's recording on H&C+, and the fog in the morning looked like it was making it hard for the early rounds. Also on your video it was interesting to...

    Economical bedding

If you stable on a farm, do they own one of the round bale choppers, used for cattle feeding? If so, and you've got covered storage, you could buy a round bale of clean rape straw and have it chopped. It will give you a massive pile of bedding which will last ages! 😊

    Not a good day

I'm so sorry to hear you have lost your precious horse this afternoon, especially as his symptoms have appeared so recently. That must have come as such a shock - such sad news.

What to do - sickly horse West of London

Have a look around the Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Sarratt area for livery yards. It's a very horsey area on the Herts/Bucks border, it's near to the M25/M40 and has good train/metro access - to Chorleywood and Rickmansworth anyway.

Things to look for when buying a 3.5t lorry

You beat me to it! OP, if you don't have C1 on your Driving Licence, and you don't want to take your C1/HGV Test, you will need to make sure that your new lorry, plus everything inside it weighs less than 3.5t to make it legal. The problem is that this often limits you to carrying just one...
