I will be moving to my own land soon.
I have three horses at present.
I'll need a companion for when two of the horses go hacking with myself and my friend. I can't leave one horse alone.
Now I need a fourth horse like I need a hole in the head. I have my hands full as it is. But what are my...
The field in question isn't called Breedy Butts but it's similar and worse than that.
Interesting that Butts means archery. I'm a member of Ribble Valley Mounted Archers :p
Making a purchase of a field. It's described by the estate agent as, "Land known as Breedy Butts"
Doesn't seem to be any official name. It doesn't have a number in the address.

If a person were to now purchase 6.75 acres of land which is nicely drained, would it sustain 3 (unshod) horses without becoming too poached?
Or would it be better to sacrifice an acre to the winter with a shelter and hay?
Thank you :)
Yes I'm having a great time :)
Keeping busy with hubby, son, job, three horses and two motorbikes :)
About to embark on another adventure for which I'll likely be haunting the forum looking for advice ;)
I need to look at the plots but I admit to having some concerns re access. The description leads me to think it may be too narrow for most vehicles, which would be problematic for deliveries.
Private treaty/informal tendre.
Can I find out who owns it and offer sneaky cash? (while wearing requisite dark clothing, fedora and sunglasses, obviously)
I'm getting a sense that staying at the current livery yard (which I love) might be the cheaper option :o
