    I know I shouldn't complain but ....

    Thanks hb6 ... I was thinking of something a little more leisurely than sytheing. I recently strimmed the schooling area of 40 x 30m - nearly killed me. Meanwhile horses looked on bemused, as if to say 'whats the silly old bag doing that for? ... we could do a better job than that'.

    Thanks everybody. We offered it up for hay ... for free ... but nobody is interested. They are all too busy with their own. We have considered haylage ... we are based in Cambs, between Cambridge and Peterborough. Does anyone know anyone reliable ... with a big R, who makes haylage in the area.

    Lexie - don't get me started on that one. I would love more horses - but knowing our luck they would bring their own problems. Working full time as well doesn't help. Oh bother ....

    Maybe I should consider a sheep riding a mower .... Unfortunately hb6 fencing is not suitable for sheep and DEFRA rules are a nightmare. Spyda , hubbie would love a ride on mower - but then so would the local lowlifes. Thanks ...

    The fact is we have just too much grass. Having 2 laminitis prone horses and 10 acres of grazing doesn't compute.... This time of year they are confined to their pens..winter they will be wading in mud wishing they were in Dubai! Forget sheep ... forget grass liveries. Maybe Christmas trees are...
