    Strangest non-riding injury

Tripped over the corner of a stable mat last week. Fractured elbow and muscle damage. Horse looked at me in amazement and then carried on eating his hay.

Long Covid & horses - support thread

Sorry I’m late replying ! I had Covid for the first time in August 2021 , I wasn’t really Ill but lost my sense of smell and taste. I really struggled to breathe and this went on for a really long time. I could get on my horse but absolutely couldn’t trot !! I couldn’t get any air in my lungs ...

What do people use to feed hay in the field and does anyone use a hay cube outside?

I thought my cube was great until the morning that I found my horse with both front legs stuck in it ! I don’t know how he managed it but once he was in there wasn’t enough space to bend his knees to lift him out . Luckily my horses live at home and OH could saw a section out of the cube to...

Want to guess the breed mix of FL's new kitten?

I‘ve never managed to put a photo on here ! i adopted Max last year, I didn’t know anything about Norwegian Forest cats but when I saw him I knew he was coming home with me. He’s black and huge now but he was completely hairless when I first saw him. He is the best companion ever 🐈‍⬛

I was told at first that it was a slipped disc so I carried on riding as soon as I could . When the pain became unbearable again I was referred for an...

Kevin Kat has been diagnosed with a stomach tumour.

I’m so sorry, I didn’t know what to say when I first read your post. I had three siblings , 2 were barn cats and one was a house cat. I lost all of them last year at the age of 16, two had to be put to sleep within 2 days. I’ve just come in the house and I was thinking about you while I was...

Traditional Cob 3 weeks old to 8 months old! Any guess on adult height?

I’ve loved having him from a foal, he’s 10 now. I’ve known him since he was born and I still can’t believe that he’s mine.

Floor feeding - eazigrazer haycube etc ?

My cob climbed into my hay cube and had to be cut out ? I would never use one again. I can’t post a photo on here but if anyone wants to see the remains of it I posted a photo on the haycube Facebook page in reviews. There was no response from Haycube. He is 15.2 and once he was in it was...
