My mare has the same problem, gets rubs everywhere during coat-changing season. If the spot isn't a wound but just has the hair rubbed off, an amazing remedy to get the hair to grow back is Cornucrescine hoof ointment! Be sure to get the solid stuff and not the liquidy stuff in the package that...
I've observed jumping distances is great for the canter! Even just putting two poles on the floor, 6 strides away from each other, helps a lot. Try making the distance 6 strides first, then riding forward and making it 5, then bringing the horse back and making it 7, etc. :)
A friend of mine has the same problem and after hours of running around she (for some reason) decided to crawl to her pony... And it worked!! Obvs not a good idea from the back end, but you could give it a try. :)

Very much so. They call for each other like crazy, one of them even tried to climb out of her stable, when riding they're totally unfocused (if I can even get them to stand still for me to mount). They just get very nervous without each other :(
Hey everyone!
I have two mares that, other than the issue adressed, are my pride and joy. However - they spent a few months living out together 24/7, and now they're extremely attached to each other. I don't have the means to stable them in two different places unfortunately. Is there anything...
Hi everyone!
I've been offered the opportunity to work in a country on the other side of the world, and due to its climate, its location in respect to my current home and the nature of the job I won't be able to keep my horses there. I'm therefore looking to put them on retirement livery...
