    Spur marks :(

My mare has the same problem, gets rubs everywhere during coat-changing season. If the spot isn't a wound but just has the hair rubbed off, an amazing remedy to get the hair to grow back is Cornucrescine hoof ointment! Be sure to get the solid stuff and not the liquidy stuff in the package that...

    Hartpury college - reviews?

This made me giggle, you're so right :) OP, have you considered Sparsholt College? I went there and loved it.

    Help with horses canter

I've observed jumping distances is great for the canter! Even just putting two poles on the floor, 6 strides away from each other, helps a lot. Try making the distance 6 strides first, then riding forward and making it 5, then bringing the horse back and making it 7, etc. :)

    Won't be caught

A friend of mine has the same problem and after hours of running around she (for some reason) decided to crawl to her pony... And it worked!! Obvs not a good idea from the back end, but you could give it a try. :)

    owning a lippizaner

I agree with the above poster! Very intelligent horses with strong minds that can be difficult because they're (as said) quite highly strung and sensitive.

Kissing Spine - options? is there any hope?

Sorry, double post - but just wanted to add that turnout and regular exercise is essential for KS horses. If my mare doesn't have turnout for a day she's significantly more uncomfortable!

Kissing Spine - options? is there any hope?

Hi hun, firstly I'm so sorry to hear about your situation, it's awful. My now 14-year old mare was diagnosed with KS (and not mild either...) in spring 2012. She had started refusing jumps and rearing, which is totally unlike her... The vet ended up giving her 5 injections in her back. The...

    Help! Attachment issues??

Very much so. They call for each other like crazy, one of them even tried to climb out of her stable, when riding they're totally unfocused (if I can even get them to stand still for me to mount). They just get very nervous without each other :(

    Help! Attachment issues??

Hey everyone! I have two mares that, other than the issue adressed, are my pride and joy. However - they spent a few months living out together 24/7, and now they're extremely attached to each other. I don't have the means to stable them in two different places unfortunately. Is there anything...

    Recommendations for Retirement Liveries

Hi everyone! I've been offered the opportunity to work in a country on the other side of the world, and due to its climate, its location in respect to my current home and the nature of the job I won't be able to keep my horses there. I'm therefore looking to put them on retirement livery...

Going abroad - what to do with horses?!

Sounds wonderful. Has this place got a website? I think I'll start another thread for recommendations for retirement liveries!

Going abroad - what to do with horses?!

Yes, of course the mare with kissing spines must be ridden with caution. And your reply just disappeared again.
