    My mare & I need a hug.

So horrible, my mare lost her foal last night, it was due in June. Such a waste & so sad, not just a life wasted, but all the hopes & dreams that were riding on it. At least I didnt lose both of them. Mare seems a lot happier than she has for a long time, although foal looked perfect, I...

    How to transport untransportable horse

Tend to agree with Flowerlady & Greygates. What a nightmare for you, but a good transporter may just solve the problem altogether. Hope you get sorted - good luck!

    Mud Fever

An old 'horseman' told me about lard & sulphur powder, & it has never failed me or anyone else I have told about it. Dont remove any scabs, just smear it on every couple of days. The mixture is vague, just blend the 2 together until a bright yellow colour. Give it a go! Good luck!

    RIP Accabussi

Be proud that your friend did absolutely the right thing by Boo. It is very easy to put things off to make ourselves feel better - to do the right thing for our animals is much harder for us. Thinking of you you bothx x

    Lethal wheelbarrow!

A warning for anyone who muck-picks & has a horse who just loves to knock it over!! My 2yr old nearly bled to death after implaing himself on the handle of the wheelbarrow. The wound was high up between his sheath & inside hind leg, & the blood just poured out. This pony is...
