My lab was neutered 2 weeks ago, had the stitches out last Friday.
She was very, very distressed by the collar, so we left it off and she licked the wound a little bit, bit not enough to worry us, and she didn't try to take the stitches out.
As the wound began to swell one stitch began to cut...
Depends how fat he gets! My two are out 24/7 now and one is a skinny and is still fed (albeit much, much less than when he's in) and the other is a fatty and just gets a handful of chaff for his vits and garlic.
I have been told that spring grass has similar protein levels to competition mix...
I was in the same position last year - I love the Rambo dustbusters but my 5 yr old made mincemeat of it, so I rang Rambo and asked which was their toughest fly rug, and they said the Fly Protector. I've had it a year now and it's still going strong, although he has managed to pull the front...
I have the Bucas sun/shower rugs on both of mine and I think they're pretty good. They're very lightweight, so perfect for weather which can go from chilly/wet to hot/sunny and back again all the time. If the Amigo lightweight is the same weight as the Rambo lightweight, then it would be...
My gelding was cut late (at nearly 4) and is still quite colty (he's 6 now). I have two other geldings, and he can't go in a field with them because he gets very excited and tries to mount them! They run away, he chases them biting their bottoms, and it all gets a bit hairy. He's never been...
Congrats on your pregnancy, I'm also up the duff (16+2)
I'm still riding my two horses and will keep going until I feel unsafe/uncomfortable, whenever that happens. I've considered a few possibilities about what to do with the horses when the time comes for me to stop riding, but it kind of...
When I first started riding as a child, I was badly allergic to horses. But I persevered (with the help of piriton) and built up an immunity, totally fine now.
Perhaps he should take a piriton and come up to the yard with you, then he might build up a resistance.
I use Elevator bridles and to me they are just made to be more comfortable with padded bits and the noseband strap going over the top of the headpiece. They're not a 'gadget', so not supposed to do anything radical to the horse's way of going.
Perhaps he's just got used to not having the...
The cakes are demanded by the baby, Embonaught, nothing to do with me. haha.
Thanks all, I'll look into the pull on, jogging bottom type - yum! Just as long as they don't only come in cornflower and cerise.
Encouraging to hear a few of you managed to keep going until 8 months - well done...
I'm 15 weeks pregnant (yay!) Can still fit in my normal breeches at the moment, but clearly may not for much longer, so was wondering what other pregnant people rode in?
I guess I could go down the leggings route, but I find anything other than fairly robust breeches with sticky bum bits give...
I don't own a poodle, but I understand they are fantastic dogs. I just wanted to say how lovely it is to see them with nice, natural clips! They look like proper dogs - beautiful!
It sounds like he's just getting a bit worried about going off on his own, then gives in when you persuade him it's OK, which is a really good sign. Sounds to me like you're doing really well.
It's really hard to say without seeing it happen, but it sounds like it's fairly harmless at the...
Ugh, this has reminded me once again why I rent my own yard all by myself! It's bliss.
I sympathise, I can't cope with yard politics, like to do my own thing without interference.
I did see a top ten most popular breeds to be stolen a while ago, and all I can remember is that Staffie's were number one, terriers were 2 or 3, labradors were 4, and springer spaniels were up there somewhere too.
I have also been told that if you spay or castrate your dog, there is less...
