Yes, my cob suffered with it - and lameness - over five years ago. Was on box rest for several months with 'controlled in-hand walking' (ha!), then finally turned out in the field and came sound. Haven't had any problems since.
Arnica helped to reduce the swelling, cold water bandaging etc.
Glad you mentioned that, Allykat. Mine is on box rest and I noticed this morning that he was quite swollen.
I'll ask the vet to check on her next visit.
