Hi all, I hope everyone is well.
I've not been on here much recently, had a bit of a nightmare year with horses 😔 but think we're on the home stretch.
Back in March I went to my first competition completely on my own, although I'm 32 my mum always comes with me, but she couldn't get the day...
We did, we managed to face our fears. A slightly under dressage compared to what we could have done and due to my nervous I didn't ride to the first fence so an unfortunate pole. But 2nd in the BD combined training. 🤞 there's a possibility of a wildcard
I'm so nervous, I'm doing the BD combined training and I'm bricking it. I used to love jumping but feel the ship has sailed. Missed a lesson last week thanks to the flu, so kinda going at it cold turkey
I snuck out competing on Wednesday whilst my twins were at nursery 🙈 and so pleased with 67.8% and 2nd place.
This weekend I'm off to a pole work/ dressage clinic
Was it Simon Battram? If so I loved my dressage lessons with him. Only stopped due to my pregnancy and haven't gone back to it yet.
I'm off to Royal London horse show tomorrow on my friends ex racehorse
And to you. What classes are you doing?
I'm doing ex Aintree, GOFF graduate and amateur championships
Are you on the fb group "we're off to the ROR GOFFS UK championship "
Anyone heading to Aintree next week?
What days? What comps?
I've been very lucky and qualified my friends exracehorse for the amateur showing class. So going up Friday til Monday for ridden and in hand showing
