Mariposa you definitely should! She seemed to love it, and I met lots of other polo players and polo ponies whilst we were out! Are you anything to do with La Mariposa polo club by any chance? :)

I know there used to be the garsington equestrian centre which is about 5-10 mins from city centre? Or I think there is one in marsh baldon about 10-15 mins away, good luck!

I didn't take it as nasty :) thanks for all of your advice, i think the upcoming meets are too far to hack so I might speak to the secretary re: lift sharing, I just really want to go again and see if my little madam will be as well behaved on our 2nd trip!! ;-)

Gutted! Since that day when I became totally hooked, my poor Landrover has died! And so I cant get to any more meets, secretary kindly gave me some more dates but now I can't get there! :( Sorry just wanted to vent!!

Went out for first time today with my loopy polo pony and she was an angel!! Had such a good time with the Kimblewick, can't wait to go again! I thought she would freak out/tank off/buck etc but she took to it like a duck to water and after all of my fretting I barely had to touch her mouth and...

I completely agree with the Rescue Remedy - magic stuff! And even if it is all in my head I don't mind because it always does the trick!! :) I always use it before towing and before big matches...Will find out if it works for hunting as going for the first time on Tuesday...eeek! :eek:

What did you use? I have just started my mare on Magnesium Oxide (2 days ago) s am waiting to see if it will work... fingers crossed!

Definately give it a go :D Most polo yards will give you a discount if you can get a group together. Winter polo is also good if your nervous as it is done in an arena so there are walls around you. Good luck! :)

I also spent ages as an 11 year old making this toy, and went into my ponies stable on xmas morning and he had somehow bashed his gums with it and there was blood all over his teeth and the swede! Didnt seem to deter him tho as he was still munching away on it when I arrived! Silly boy, I didnt...
