The dealer that cannot be named

Now that an arrest has been made, the investigation has moved into a formal legal phase. Because the case now involves the Crown Prosecution Service, any public discussion could be used by the defence to claim a trial by media or to suggest that witnesses have been colluded with. To protect...

The dealer that cannot be named

I completely understand some peoples' frustration that the article can only scratch the surface - trust me, nobody knows the full depth of this more than those of us who have lived it. However, we should be celebrating that this is out there at all. Getting this information into the public...

The dealer that cannot be named

There's an article in today's H&H about it all.

Anyone seen the recent Lucinda Green video with Tom McEwan on FB?

Not making a judgement either way but Tom's dad is Bobby McEwen, he's now retired but was a senior vet at Lambourn Valley Equine and Rossdales.

    Weather Apps

Thank goodness it's not just me! I hate the changes, I sent negative feedback too. I can only assume they wanted to have the same look and feel of other weather apps. The irony is, I didn't like the other weather apps so was loyal to the Metoffice!

Cost effective way to feed haylage for one horse

    Horse refusing hay

I kept my horses in Denmark for over 6 years, love it there, very jealous! Have you had a grass flush there? It could be that they are not hungry for hay because of this. I am putting out haynets for my retirees but they are picking at them as there is still the option of grass.

Do you think my horse is suffering from dementia??

Not a horse but our border terrier did this near the end of her life. Would sit in a corner of the room and stare at it. I later read and realised (not at the time) that this was a symptom of doggy dementia.

    Field Shelter Recommendations

Very happy with my Hunters mobile field shelter. We moved it to the other side of a 5 acre field recently with no issues. It is in a very windy area, so we ordered the ground stakes too. We also requested that an air gap was left near the roof line, to allow the wind to go through rather than...

    Teeth proof rugs

Look for a 1680 ballistic denier horse rug. Various brands do them. I have always used one specific brand (hitting 20 years of loyalty with them now). Whilst not saying which I can say that I've had horses that are rug rippers, the rugs that are 1680 denier are the only ones that stand a...

    Thermal waterproof riding tights/jodhpurs

Kipwarms for yard work, I don't tend to ride in them as I like some grip. Pikeur Lugana, old school soft shell breeches for riding (expensive but I have pairs that are 15 years old 🙈)
