I am just a bit confused, for each cycle how many follicle mature? I thought 1 oestrus = 1 follicle = 1 egg? Is it normal for a mare to have more than 1 follicle? does that mean increased risk of twins? if more than 1 follicle what happens at ovulation? actually even more stupid question...

temperament suitable for a non-professional rider?

I spoke to my vet and he said that this shouldn't be a problem and very unlikely to pass on to the foal, but has anybody got experience from breeding a mare with sacro-iliac problem? any issue with foal? or the mare? during pregancy/foaling or getting back into work after?

this is my first time so I want to be sure I am prepared financially so I dont have any surprises! as a first time,. I am trying to think of all the expenses involved... I have got some idea from the vet about AI packages and foaling, but could you help me budget total costs including scans...
