I'm looking round for a new horse at the moment, and have come across one, aged 9, that apparently has never been vaccinated??? Prior to this, I assumed most horses were, especially when young. Any thoughts please??

Just trying to gather some info.... When you bought your horses did you have them vetted prior to purchase, if so 2 or 5 stage. Any ideas on cost? I am not looking at spending loads on the actual horse, maybe 3000 to 4000, and just weighing up all the other stuff! I am not a complete...

Can anyone tell me what you have to do in the second round to qualify? Is it just another straightforward round at your first-round qualifying height? Completely new to this, and their website is confusing.... thanks!

Our boy has never been shod, and he does everything barefoot - hacking, dressage, SJ, XC..... ok to walk across a carpark, gravel, etc... you just need to be sensible if been really raining re:slips, but to be honest he did a small XC in the rain and had no problems. Down to the individual...

When I started sharing about 5 years ago I specifically rang and asked the BHS who told me the gold membership was not valid on ANY horses I didn't own, especially in a share situation when money passes hands. SIEB and NFU wouldn't cover a share situation either.... but it may have changed now...

I can't offer any real advice, but as above really... get those tests and try and find the cause.... those fainting attacks can be scary.. But please don't give up, and if you feel safe to do so and have a friend there to keep an eye on you, then have a little ride when you are able too... no...

Be careful if you are exchanging money (ie what most sharers do) as a lot of insurances don't cover for that. I specifically asked the question of many companies before I got my insurance... When I asked the BHS insurance underwriters (?SIEB) they told me that they would NOT cover if money...
