    Livery yard woes

Thanks... It already makes me miserable to be there, and he is ALWAYS there so no avoiding them!! I keep looking for other places but they are hard to find. By all of us I mean me and 3 others which is 11 of the 15 boxes on the yard. It wouldn't be an empty threat on my part as I really think...

    Livery yard woes

I am on a smallish livery yard (15 boxes) and there is one person on the yard that I detest. This person has fallen out with two other liveries to the point that they do not speak at all. As far as I can work out it was all very petty. The other two liveries don't talk to him and keep out of...

    Broodmare livery south east

I am on the Surrey/West Sussex border and I'm looking for long term broodmare livery for my mare. Looking for a smaller stud as my mare cannot go in with big herds and is sensitive so needs kind handling. Any recommendations?

    Smal lead rein/first ridden

Whereas I have one for sale that is perfect, and I mean perfect! Yet no interest whatsoever in her!

    Sec A lame...

I've brought her in this morning and she was footy on concrete. Couldn't feel a pulse so I guess that's a good thing. I will keep her in and speak to the vet later. This is all new to me, I've never had an issue. This is a relatively new yard to me and on speaking to other liveries, 2 horses...

    Sec A lame...

Thanks you have both said what I thought although just to clarify- she has never had laminitis before.

    Sec A lame...

... Or not. Pony has no history of laminitis and is not overweight, but is out in a field with a fair amount of grass though it's only 1 1/2 acre section with 2 others as I'm trying to get them to graze the knee high grass down! Lunged her last Thursday, twice she seemed unlevel for a...

Irish draught Stallions - Scrapman and Inisfree the holy grail.

I've no experience of these stallions, but if you decide to look elsewhere then Avanti amorous Archie is fab and really stamps his stock (my mare has just scanned in foal to him).

    Horse from Ireland, Journey time?

First delivery using a reputable transporter- 24 hours and horses arrived totally chilled. My last mare was on the lorry for 40 hours (2 weeks being moved around before the last 2 days!) and arrived hungry and thirsty. That was via a certain 1 man band! A good transporter will keep you updated...

    22yo horse, would you?

Well I went to see him. He's in great shape and was absolutely lovely! I've said I'd like him, just got to wait to see if his owner decided I'm suitable!

    22yo horse, would you?

Thanks for the replies! My thoughts on any vet bills are that I of course would insure him for accident/injury but with regards to any long term or sudden illness... Well I personally wouldn't put a horse that age through major surgery... I'm going to see him tomorrow anyway, so will have a...

    22yo horse, would you?

I haven't spoken to them with regards to this, but reading between the lines I assume it would be me.

    22yo horse, would you?

My mare is out of action for the next year or so and I've been thinking of getting another horse. There's a possibility of a 22year old horse on full loan. He has been a hunter (twice a week) for a long time, is bombproof in traffic and he's been there and done it. The type of horse I'm...

    Suspensory/coffin joint problems in eventer

He is free, so that's not an issue. They have advised that he can be schooled but not every day, more like once or twice a week. I'm not sure, it does obviously concern me that he won't be able to stand up to what I want him to do, but at the same time if he is able to compete a handful of...
