they've been tweaked over the years to try and increase/reduce relative influence of the phases. Most people would argue the XC has too little influence - and certainly at the lower levels dressage continues to exert far too much influence.
When I started eventing SJ penalties were 5 for a pole...
I mean, the title is a bit of a misnomer, because I think we will all agree that the answer is 'no'...
But I've just seen photos of a well known top -level winning show producer and their friend getting ready for the season with a photo posted on Facebook featuring what I think is:

Strong no - unless you happen to KNOW someone in advance who has the right skillset, you're likely just inviting in trouble. 99% of sharers are just getting started in horse ownership and don't have necessary skills and knowledge.
You might find someone who can't make a financial contribution...
Equally you could go and watch lots of horses having their final prep run before Badminton at Kelsall this weekend for free :)
Sure, going to the big flagship events can be expensive, but there are lots of very nice days out to be had for free or v. minimal entry costs.

according to the video (yard tour on Piggy TV) she says Lordships Graffalo gets grass nuts, dried grass chaff and electrolytes. I can see, in the back corner of the video screen a single bag of topspec lite - so perhaps some/all of them get that - but it isn't mentioned.
If you did want to work on it, I'd work on lots of loops in from the track in canter - starting very slight, just a couple of metres in, and gradually building up the size until you're doing a ten metre loop in from the track maintaining counter canter. Be very clear about keeping the bend over...
The buck stops with the owner though - it is an owner's responsibility to educate themselves about basic horse health, and to seek veterinary advice about the horse's weight if they have concerns, not listen to a company feed rep.
I was fascinated to see recently that Ros Canter feeds her horses primarily on grass nuts, and keeps most of them out 20+hours a day on grass - so nothing much other than grass in various formats
It's an interesting one. I'm another one to think there's a middle ground, although I do agree with many of the points made by @Patterdale about common bad management.
I'm at a big livery yard of 100 horses on the edge of a major city. We have a lot of first-time owners and total novices. I'm...
@iknowmyvalue - great video! As others have said - getting into the habit of landing and getting moving on the first stride as you're away from the fence will save you 20 seconds round a course. Good luck with the ongoing Bramham prep!
Sadly I'm not getting to run at Kelsall this weekend - as...
Yeah I mean I think the bronze league stuff isn't a great aim because it is generally about riding very fast around small tracks, fairly often. Think it's far more fun to focus on getting specific sets of double clears that you need and targeting some good "destination" champs or multi-day shows.
