My mare is hopping lame on her off hind, no heat or swelling, the fetlock joint seems to 'click' back into place when she tries to put weight on it, almost like its dislocated. She's a difficult mare, I have no hope of getting her to the vets as she will not load and won't leave her friend...
I have just moved to Rugeley (not my choice, OH has been sent there by his work!), I'm a freelance groom and I'm finding it impossible to find work and friends. I thought it was quite a horsey area but I think I was wrong!
Does anyone know if theres a way to see who is entered, and for which classes at HOYS?
Also is a public list of all the international riders that have qualified?

I'm moving on August so am looking for somewhere to keep my boy, really struggling to find anywhere, they all seem to be full livery only, ideally i want him on DIY but would consider part if the price was right, any ideas?
This makes me fel much better! We have no idea where we are goingto live, just that it will have to be within 15 miles of Lichfield. Are there any areas you would recommend? i'd rather be north of Lichfield as it will be slightly closer to home :)
I will google the places you mentioned, I'm...

Does anyone know if Malaseb or Imaverol can be used to treat mites? One of my horses has them and I have a bottle of each of these liquids, so am wondering wether to try one of them on her, I know Imaverol is for ringworm, if it kills ringworm, will it kill mites??
Google 'horse bit trader' they give free advice, I've emailed them in the past and was very happy with the advice given. The advice is free but I think they hope you'l buy/hire a bit off them in return (which I never have!).
I have! I was using it on a mare who's foal had eatten her tail (!) After a few wks I noticed that my hair was growing faster than normal. (Someone said that the megatek probably soaks in through your skin). So I decided to try putting it on my hair, it does the same as what it does to the...
I had to stop that half way through..
Yes breakdowns happen in racing all over the world. This video shows it to the extreme though. I have retrained and sold/rehomed horses who are said to of 'broken down' on the track..The term doesnt always mean broken bones, heart attacks etc.
I have 4 and I very rarely ride, one is 27, she is retired. one is a section a I rescued as a foal and he's never totally trusted anyone, i can just about catch him if I get him in the stable first, he's had tack on and been lunged/ long reined over a summer but never took to it and was scared...
