    Contessa

I rode at Contessa for a few years and loved it. I went there as an adult returner in my late 30s, and the tuition there was great. This was about 8 years ago but I know it is still an excellent place. I had private lessons or semi-private with a friend. The RIs were fab but it was also great...

    Afghan Pup Update *Pics*

Oh, she's beautiful! Please feel free to share more pics as she grows up. My only experience of Afghans is that my cousin had one back in the 1970s, when they were much more popular than they are now. It was the most stunning dog I'd ever seen (I was about 10 when they got it) and a super...

    Horsey Cross Stitch

There are some lovely ones on here, but no horses & carriage designs. I absolutely love the last one, the Farmlife blackwork sampler. http://www.sewinspiring.co.uk/acatalog/horses_cross_stitch_kits.html

    cottages

^^^ This has been my experience too. We have stayed in lots of cottages with our dogs over the years and have never had any problems with smells, hair etc. Some cottages charge a separate fee for a dog staying, others doubtless include it in their charges, to cover cleaning.

    cottages

We stayed here last year - it's a wonderfully comfy cottage in a beautiful part of the Lake District. The owners are lovely too! http://www.glebecottagecaldbeck.co.uk/index.htm

Cowboy Traders Tonight at 8pm on C5. Dog Breeder

Watched it with horror and sadness in my heart. So furious that she was tipped off about the raid. Dom Littlewood's confrontation with her at the station made good TV, I guess, but nothing came of it. I do hope she is still being pursued by TS, the Police etc. (I'm sure HMRC would be...

Bury st edmunds tragic accident in 2011

Here's an article from H & H, when the horse was advertised for sale as '100% safe' by a dealer in Essex, a few months after the accident. The name they give for him is Urasio (known as Lucas.) http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/news/outcry-over-advertisement-of-horse-involved-in-fatal-accident/

    Interesting dog colour!

I've met a few greyhounds like that at dog shows - their coat looks like the night sky. It's one of my favourite greyhound colours.

You're not the only one, Fiona! I went back through the thread to find someone with initials DD and couldn't see anyone.
