I’m in Scotland, in a fairly ‘cheap’ area and DIY is 40 summer 60 winter including haylage. Can be out 24/7 in herds most of the year but do need to be stabled overnight through the worst of the winter months.
4*S runs XC on the Sunday and has pretty big entries usually. 4*L runs XC on Saturday but sometimes only a handful competing.
Sat XC for 2*L, 3*L and probably one of the 1*S sections, if the same as last year.
Sun XC for the other 1*S and the BESC90 and 100 championship classes.
I love the horseware proper pony rugs (they do go up to 5’9”) for narrow youngsters. The Amigo ones are not horribly expensive and I’ve been impressed with how waterproof and durable they are and how well they fit.
I was involved with today's celebrations, she was absolutely wonderful with the children :) She has remarkable presence.
Felt like a bit of a stalker though as after the railway opening she was at my yard (part of a big estate) having tea with the Duke, so the ponies got to see her too!
Hello and welcome :) I'm in the Scottish borders now but did my postgraduate at Dundee Uni in the not too distant past.

We were lucky enough to meet the Hoofing It Home Clydesdales today, on day 7 of their epic 300 mile ride from Perthshire to Windermere to raise money for two very worthwhile charities.
