Hi all - I have an ex racehorse who when you tack him up he is very sensitive around the girth area, I have had chiropractor out and saddle checked but definately girth is where he feels it. Any advice ?? There is no visible sore area or hair loss etc, just his reaction when brushed or tacked...

I too am a truely amateur rider - my horse is kept on his own with Daisy the cow - we have no arena or jumps - just flat fields with thistles in. that is where we school !!! don't use Equestrian surfaces, if you want a dry sand and rubber surface, try McArdle or McArdles ????

the stuff at Keysoe is McArdle Equestrian Surfaces, Mactrac. They also do other cheaper stuff.
