thankyou for advice everybody. reason to start early was because mare was ai'd this year in mid april, took first time, in early august i noticed her acting odd, had her scanned, no foal, stud closed end of july so was unable to go again, want to try and get all my go's if need be.

question as above, also what is in involved? how do the racing fraternity go about getting/keeping there mares infoal so early in the season. have a mare that has previously had one foal then absorbed two more on chilled semen,(different stallions) now awaiting results of uterus biopsy to rule...

mare is welsh sports horse and stallion is Blue Hors ZACK

not my horse so not too sure, but pleased to say that my mare is 11 wks in foal. phew

thanks for that magic, the only thing i can answer is that the mare was ai'd at our farm so no travelling, may direct a few questions to the vet though. thankyou

friends 4yo mare has again lost her foal after the second scan. no problems with infection/pooling, took on first go this year and last. last year she lost foal after about 16wks on and had to be washed out, this year she has lost it 4wks after 2nd scan. does anyone have any ideas??????

welshmonsters, i too have a welsh x 3/4 tb 1/4 id colt who i reckon is about 13.1ish, his mother is a substantial 15.1 and sire is 15.3. i think he will make height but am told that the welshys do take longer time to grow ??? fingers crossed for the both of us

someone has mentioned mixing up chilli/curry powder and rubbing it into tails. any advice greatly received.

think she may have gone back to the yard eventrider, to check her, hope everythings ok, your right, she should just call vet if unsure.

i know what you mean(duct). has the top of her bottom on both sides gone loose, sort of wobbly like a jelly to touch.

she may well have been bitten as it was very midgy today, last year my friends mare had this problem. is she swollen in both udders?
