    Outline problems

My horse is struggling to work in an outline in walk, despite working nicely in trot and canter! He has had his back done recently and teeth fairly recently. In walk he will either toss his head up (a lot) or hold his head high to evade the contact. Any ideas? My instructor doesn't know what's...

What to put in stud holes?

Fab Thankyou everyone - think I'll try cotton wool in oil or Vaseline! Has anybody heard of or tried cigarette filters? Saw that on a website but not sure!

What to put in stud holes?

Is it worth buying actual stud hole plugs or has anyone found a better alternative? Or not plugging at all - will be a day or two anyway until I can put them in? Thanks! :)

Losing condition - something to add to his diet?

I think the micronised linseed sounds good then. Will take out maize flakes and try that and maybe swap Alfa to Alfa oil! Thanks :)

Losing condition - something to add to his diet?

My horse's weight (16.3hh warmblood) has started to drop off again this winter. I only bought him a year ago, and he was very skinny then, but by end of summer was at a good weight. Anyway, I'm not sure what to add to give him the extra calories needed - oil, or changing regular Alfa to Alfa a...

Puissance - Italian Rider.. Not Impressed!

The Italian who won a few years ago, Lucca something, on a mare was a lovely rider - horse in snaffle too, no spurs or martingale - shame he's not competing

Calm and Condition vs Conditioning cubes?

That's exactly what my horse was on over winter as when I got him he was very skinny! It slowly built him up, but the spring grass coming through really made the difference; he wasn't so keen on haylage much preferred the grass! He's now on one feed of conditioning cubes, chaff and balancer a day.

    some reassurance please?

He better be! Plans to do an event or two this summer look unlikely! Maybe in autumn :)

    some reassurance please?

He had x-ray's today - they're not awful but his has some callos bone and a lot of soft tissue. Any idea what could have brought this on suddenly? Bruising from concussion I guess as been riding him on roads a lot over the weekend. Anyway, six weeks of box rest (well - a pen in his field) and...

    some reassurance please?

Thanks :) Lol I'm only 16! Such complicated animals... Praying for x-rays to show just a few weeks box rest needed but doubting that knowing my luck with him so far :(
