Naughty/nappy girl! Wear a hat, gloves and use a bridle as standard, carry a stick, rearing is bad and very dangerous. Maybe someone else to get behind her the minute she backs off, then put her back?
I would personally try a fly mask :-( especially if she is rubbing herself a lot. Repellent is ok, but a mask will eliminate them altogether around her eyes.
I have always had ariat boots, and always loved them - but a years life expectancy isn't enough with what they cost IMO! Problem is I ordered of Amazon, but hopeful for my next pair of jod boots - if I get them from one of these registered stockists I might have a chance to return and get them...
How much does it cost on average to feed a raw diet? I have 4x springers between 15-22kg. Currently they are on dried food, I have an abundance of goat bones/scrap available which sometimes get thrown in with carrots. Is it worth going all out on the raw?
Perfect description dabdab, I have to admit id be more likely to view a horse if it said this in the advert! His bad points aren't that bad, he just has personality! Its not the end of the world if he wont lunge etc, just make potential owners aware so they dont put themselves in a dangerous...
Thanks everyone, I am really glad its not just me. I am guilty of mucking out in them, and basically trudging through all sorts - so this has probably contributed to it! I prefer them to wellies see, but maybe this is a case to the OH to get me some decent wellies! Then I can keep the boots...
I have had my ariat windermeres for 2 years and the leather on the foot has all split, my mountain horse boots have also started splitting after one year. I often treat them especially if they get wet (tried posh soaps, polish, tack cleaner)? What am I doing wrong, and what do you use? Or is...
Disagree on a 20 minute potter around a field surely not, I think they need to see the outside world away from home to gain confidence and be sociable?! Some will insist on dragging a pup round on a lead though I have seen, very tired pups that are overwhelmed. I have always taken pups out off...
60-90 minutes in total a day isnt excessive for a 4 month old pup, I am talking casual plods around whilst introducing him to the world :-). Great that he is around horses already :-) We introduce the sit and stay and recall straight away but waited until pup was 6 months before we started with...
Motherofchickens I didnt know this was a thing you could go to! I often run with mine and they love it, do they have regular meets/competitions, and also how fit are you people that do it!? Do you have to run with a harness and the dog pulling in front? 5 miles is enough running for me...
